   Inspired by the desolation that he saw, Bowie wrote "Warszawa." This song was first formed when Bowie's producer Tony Visconti's son was playing the notes A-B-C repeatedly on the piano. Brian Eno, who collaborated on the song with Bowie, sat next to him and finished the sequence of notes that would form the intro to the song.

   David Bowie’s Warsaw in This time, David Bowie didn’t visit Warsaw alone. He brought Iggy Pop with him even before they were living together in their Schöneberg apartment in Berlin. During the stopover, Bowie managed to leave the train and take a short walk around Warszawa Gdańska station.

   David Bowie’s world tour would be his first since ’s Isolar and would be the means to support his most recent records Low () and Heroes (). Dubbed Isolar II the trek would consist of dates in North America beginning in March , followed by Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and finishing in December with dates in Japan.

   A regular in Bowie's live set, "Warszawa" has continued turning up in the oddest places. Joy Division's original incarnation as Warsaw was named for the song, while Bowie's own "Jazzing for Blue Jean" video features an excerpt of the song, in the scene where "hero" Screaming Lord Byron is relaxing in his dressing room.
